Why I'm majoring in Urban Studies: Urban Studies combines my interests in sustainable and participatory design, environmental justice, housing justice and equity, geography, and community organizing in a tangible way. The range of classes, professors, and coursework that you can engage in through the major allows me to really pave my own path of how I would like to engage in different subject matter and take my knowledge and apply it directly in the work that I do.

What I like best about Urban Studies: The interdisciplinary nature and the ability to tackle real-world issues from the lens of people and the planet.

Favorite book (and why): Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi, All About Love by Bell Hooks, and The Leavers by Lisa Ko

Career Goal/Future Plans: Working in the intersection of climate, design, and entrepreneurship

Honors Thesis or other research project: Exploring Urban Sacred Natural Sites as it intersects with food sovereignty and justice.

Other academic interests (major, minor): Architectural Design Minor

Extracurriculars: Stanford Social Entrepreneurial Students Association, Designer for Mint Magazine, Earthtones, skating, sculpture, and gardening
