Marisa has worked with dozens of Bay Area cities on local and regional plans for urban development and climate change. As part of the region's sustainability framework, she created a program that requires local governments to address low income residential displacement resulting from investment in transit-oriented neighborhoods.

Marisa currently works for the City of Oakland in Economic and Workforce Development. She has a BA in Anthropology from Columbia University and an MS in Spatial Planning from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.
